Furukawashiko releases seasonal postcard sets each year, and this 2027 winter series follows their established approach: understated illustration work in a restrained color palette that leans into the quieter feeling of winter rather than the loud reds and greens of typical holiday stationery.

Private postcards (私製はがき) are postcard-sized cards produced outside Japan Post's official postcard program. They can be mailed with a standard postage stamp, giving the same function as official postcards while allowing publishers to control paper stock, print quality, and design without format restrictions. This series uses Western paper, which gives a smooth matte surface suited to fine-line illustration printing.
