Behind the Design

The Okashi na Doubutsu Kobo series by Furukawashiko pairs two things the brand does well: washi paper materials and character-driven illustration. This third collection continues the format of previous releases, with each pack centered on a single animal theme rendered in a soft, warm illustration style.

The flake sticker format suits washi particularly well. Because washi is thinner and more porous than synthetic sticker stock, it sits flat against paper surfaces and takes on the texture of the page beneath it, giving a more handmade feel than a standard glossy sticker. The individual die-cut shapes are irregular and organic rather than square or circular, which adds to the handcrafted impression.

Small washi paper stickers featuring illustrated animals in cozy, everyday scenarios. Each pack contains 20 stickers across 5 designs, all cut into individual flake shapes with the soft texture of Japanese washi paper. Six design themes are available, sold separately.
