Behind the Design

Furukawashiko collaborated with Aya Inoue, a Japanese illustrator known for her delicate, painterly depictions of food and everyday objects, to translate her dessert artwork into washi flake stickers.

Washi paper was chosen deliberately: its soft, slightly textured surface gives each sticker a muted, hand-crafted quality that printed vinyl or glossy paper cannot replicate. The result is a sticker that looks at home pressed against kraft envelopes, tucked into journal margins, or layered onto gift tags without competing with surrounding materials.

Each design, Victoria cake, parfait, sundae, and trifle, is sold separately so collectors can focus on specific motifs rather than receive duplicates they don't want.

Flake stickers made from soft washi paper, illustrated by Japanese artist Aya Inoue with dessert motifs: Victoria cake, parfait, sundae, and trifle. Each pack holds 5 assorted pieces, all within 30x30mm, with a gentle matte texture that suits handwritten letters and journal pages.
