Behind the Design

"Urupukutan" is Nakabayashi's line of puffy, dome-topped stickers with a clear epoxy resin coating that gives each character a glossy, rounded finish. The name blends "uruuru" (a Japanese term for a dewy, glistening look) and "pukupuku" (a bubbly, plump texture), describing exactly what these stickers look like.

This release brings in the Fluffies, original characters created by Sun Lemon Co., and reimagines them in the urupukutan style. The result is a set of small, collectible stickers with a tactile, almost candy-like appearance. Three themed sets cover land animals, sea creatures, and dream-world characters, each sold separately.

These puffy, gel-domed stickers give the Fluffies character illustrations a glossy, three-dimensional look. Each design set features the original Fluffies characters by Sun Lemon Co., transformed into their rounded, dewy "urupukutan" form. Three designs to collect: Land, Sea, and Dream Friends.
