The ZENTO Flow Model is built around a newly developed ZENTO ink that uni Mitsubishi Pencil describes as a "soft water-based" formula, occupying a distinct space from both conventional oil-based ballpoints and gel inks. The goal was a pen that writes with minimal pressure and consistent ink deposit, reducing the physical effort that accumulates over long writing sessions.

The aluminum grip with anodized coating adds measured weight to the barrel, shifting the balance point lower and giving the pen a grounded, steady feel without becoming heavy. The movable color clip serves a dual purpose: it identifies the active ink color at a glance and functions as the color-switching mechanism, so the interaction is built into the design rather than requiring a separate step.

Body colors are offered in two palettes. The "B" variants (Navy, Burgundy) have a deeper, more saturated finish, while the "H" variants (Green, Beige) take a muted, understated direction. Each tip size is paired with its own two-color set, so the 0.38mm and 0.5mm versions are distinguished not just by line width but by a different visual identity.
