Behind the Design

The Ukanmuri Clip PRO is the top-spec entry in Sun-Star's Ukanmuri Clip line, developed to address the limitations of the original model when used with thick books and reference materials.

Three specific problems drove the redesign. First, standard clips tend to slide off the page under the weight of a heavy book, so the PRO uses a high-friction TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) grip surface that increases resistance without hardening against the paper. Second, the jaw opening was widened by approximately 1.4 times, allowing the clip to seat securely on thicker volumes that the conventional model struggled to hold. Third, transparency was increased so the clip body doesn't obscure the text or images beneath it, a small but meaningful improvement for anyone using the clip during active reading or study.

A heavy-duty page holder clip with a jaw opening 1.4x wider than the standard Ukanmuri Clip, built to grip thick books without slipping. The high-friction TPU body is soft enough to avoid marking paper, and the crystal-clear body keeps text fully visible underneath.
