Wallpaper installation puts unusual demands on a cutter: the blade must glide through thin, printed material without tearing or leaving a visible edge, and it needs to do so repeatedly across long runs where blade sharpness degrades fast.

OLFA addressed this with the Tokusen M-type Long. The Tokusen Black Blade is ground at a more acute angle than standard blades, giving it a sharper initial edge. Pairing that with a 0.2mm ultra-thin profile means the cut line is narrow enough to be nearly invisible in finished wallpaper joins.

The long blade format solves a practical workflow problem: interior work demands frequent blade snapping to expose a fresh edge, and a standard small blade only offers 13 snapping points. The long blade extends that to 21, reducing interruptions on the job. The fully hardened stainless steel holder and rubber-backed grip are aimed at the same context: a tool meant to be held for extended periods on a site where dropping or slipping is a real cost.
