The Soebumi Shiori is part of Furukawashiko's HONTOWATASHI series, a line built around the ritual of reading and the quiet culture of book-giving in Japan.

"Soebumi" refers to a short accompanying letter slipped alongside a gift, and "Shiori" means bookmark. The name captures exactly what this product does: it sits in your book and holds your place, but it also carries a message. Fold it along the perforation and a motif peeks out from the top of the pages, a small visual signal to whoever picks up the book.

Furukawashiko chose Mino Washi, a traditional Japanese paper from Gifu Prefecture with over 1,300 years of history, for the material. Its texture and weight give the sheets a presence that standard paper cannot replicate. The two-size format means the larger sheet has enough room for reading notes or reflections, while the smaller slips in easily as a quick memo or gift note.
