Behind the Design

The SCHOOL COLORS set is built around a single concept: three rolls of tape that, when used together, reconstruct a school uniform in paper form. The widths are intentional. The narrowest roll (15mm) handles the ribbon, the mid-width (20mm) captures the top, and the widest (30mm) represents the skirt. Each width corresponds to the visual weight of that uniform element.

Foil stamping runs across all three rolls, giving the designs a reflective surface that catches light in a way standard printed washi tape doesn't. The four colorways, Mauve Pink, Smoke Blue, Caramel, and Gray, are drawn from subdued, nostalgic tones rather than bright primaries, keeping the aesthetic closer to memory than to cartoon. Released September 2025 as part of BGM's broader decorative tape range.
