The paper in this little book is very smooth, it's good with fountain pens as it doesn't showthrough. Not all notebooks can cope with fountain pen ink. However it's not too great with a rollerball pen, as using one, it does showthrough.

I absolutely love these little books!! They are impossible to find in Canada.
