Behind the Design

Sun-Star Stationery has long made stationery that sits at the edge of function and character, and these animal erasers lean fully into that idea. The Piyo Gomu and Buta Gomu are designed as cubes so the animal shape holds even as the eraser wears down, each use slowly revealing a new silhouette.

The PET case packaging keeps both pieces together and makes them easy to display or carry without damage. Selling the chick and pig as a pair rather than separately was a deliberate choice: the two shapes complement each other, and the set format encourages people to keep one and share the other.

A set of two cube-shaped animal erasers: one chick (Piyo Gomu) and one pig (Buta Gomu). Each measures just 21mm on all sides, so they disappear as you use them, transforming the shape as they go. They arrive together in a PET case, ready to give or keep.
