Midori's Ojisan character has built a quiet following for his deadpan, everyman presence across the brand's stationery lineup. For the 2027 pocket diary, Ojisan takes center stage in a format designed to make the act of using a diary feel like reading a serial comic strip.

Each month features a new illustration and a new episode in Ojisan's daily life, presented in a 4-panel manga layout on the monthly block. A flip-book animation effect is threaded through the page corners, rewarding the habit of flipping through the diary rather than just opening to today's date. The cover features Ojisan contorting himself into the shape of the year's digits, a small visual joke that sets the tone for what's inside.

The diary is offered in four sizes to match different carrying habits: a Mini that fits in a coat pocket, a narrow Slim, an A6 with a weekly block layout, and a B6 with a monthly layout. All share the same Ojisan illustration program across the year.
