Behind the Design

Nichiban's Ryomen (両面) tape line has been in production since 1984, making it one of the longest-running double-sided tape products in Japan. The non-woven fabric base gives it a stronger bond than film-based alternatives, which is why it holds on surfaces like metal and plastic in addition to paper.

The decision to use recycled paper for the dispenser and core is a structural and environmental choice Nichiban built into the product from early production runs. The range of widths and lengths in this series reflects how broadly the tape is used: narrow rolls for precise paper work, wide rolls for packaging and mounting.
