The MZ-S Type is OLFA's answer to a specific frustration in detailed cutting work: the interruption of swapping blades. A standard cutter requires you to stop, extend the blade, snap off a dulled segment, and reset before continuing. The MZ-S eliminates most of that sequence by holding up to five blades inside the body itself.

The mechanism works like a magazine: blades load through the back cover, aligning via a slot in the slider. When the current blade is spent, sliding the slider forward ejects it, and pulling back automatically sets the next stored blade. The body is molded from glass-fiber-reinforced ABS, which keeps the cutter light while giving the housing enough rigidity to handle the internal stacking mechanism. An auto-lock holds the blade position securely between cuts. Two blades come pre-loaded at the factory, so the cutter is ready to use immediately.
