The mt ex line grew out of Kamoi Kakoshi's goal to push washi masking tape past its utilitarian roots. Where standard mt tape focuses on color and simple pattern, mt ex pursues illustration, typography, trompe-l'oeil, and photographic imagery printed on washi stock.

The three designs in this listing each take a distinct direction. Osmanthus (Kinmokusei) renders the small orange blossoms of the fragrant autumn shrub, a scent deeply associated with the Japanese season. Mt. Fuji Graphic translates the iconic silhouette into a bold repeated motif. Geometric Cookie arranges abstract shapes in a pattern that reads more like a textile than a tape.

All three share the same washi base: semi-translucent, hand-tearable, and light enough that it layers without bulk. The writable surface means the tape can double as a label or annotation strip, not just decoration.
