Behind the Design

Standard erasers are formulated for everyday HB or B pencil marks. When students work with darker grades like 2B, 4B, or 6B for entrance exams or fill-in answer sheets, those erasers require more passes and leave more residue.

The MONO EK-SY addresses this with a compound tuned to the heavier graphite load of dark pencils, achieving around a 15% improvement in erasure rate at 6B compared to conventional study erasers. The sleeve carries two small ergonomic details: embossed lines that add grip when pressure is applied, and a perforation line so the wrapper tears away neatly rather than bunching or tearing unevenly. A name field on the sleeve rounds out the student-focused design. The paper sleeve uses 50% or more recycled paper pulp and the eraser itself is free of phthalate esters.

The MONO EK-SY is formulated specifically for dark pencil grades (2B to 6B), erasing with roughly 15% fewer strokes than a standard eraser at 6B. The sleeve has embossed anti-slip lines for grip and a perforation so you can tear it back cleanly as the eraser wears down.
