A. The eraser does erase ink, but only the smudges. If you're looking to remove any pesky smears from running your hand across wet ink then this definitely helps. Don't buy this if you think it will entirely erase ink writing because that's not its purpose. It works relatively well on smudges but sometimes they are still visible closer to the source.
