The Mono Graph line was built around a specific frustration: having to reposition your hand every time you need to advance lead. Tombow's answer is the Frenock shake mechanism, which advances lead with a quick downward flick of the wrist, no grip adjustment needed. For situations where the shake function is a liability (think bag carry or desk rolling), a slide on the clip locks it out entirely. The same clip also doubles as a slide knock for conventional lead advancement.

The Neon Color edition adds a design detail worth noting. Rather than coating the barrel in fluorescent paint, Tombow mixes fluorescent pigment directly into the acrylic resin at the molding stage. The result is a body whose color is structural, not cosmetic. White is the lone exception, produced without pigment addition. The low center of gravity and 1mm metal tip pipe round out a pencil engineered for long writing sessions without fatigue.
