Behind the Design

The Dreamy Landscape series from BGM was released in September 2023 as part of their decorative washi tape line. The concept centers on scenery rendered in muted, watercolor-adjacent tones that feel slightly out of focus, as if recalled from a half-remembered dream rather than observed directly.

Foil stamping is used selectively across each design to catch light without overwhelming the soft palette. The result is a tape that reads as delicate in flat light but picks up a gentle metallic quality under direct light. Each of the five designs draws from a distinct natural or organic subject: gemstones, cherry blossoms, citrus, butterflies, and jellyfish, all treated with the same hazy, illustrative hand.

A washi tape series painted in soft, fleeting colors meant to capture scenery that feels more like a dream than a place. Each roll uses foil stamping to add a subtle shimmer to designs like jellyfish, cherry blossoms, and butterflies. Five designs, each sold individually.
