The CWP (Creative Works Print) series was conceived by TOUCH & FLOW as a way to bring original fine art into mass-produced objects without flattening what makes the originals compelling. For this collaboration with Kanae Kouno, a painter and illustrator based in Hayama, Kanagawa, the challenge was translating her characteristic layered color and freehand linework into print media that could carry the same physical presence.

Kouno works without preliminary sketches, building form through spontaneous mark-making and complex color layering using ink, scratch techniques, and collage. The four designs in this set reflect her recurring themes: animals and plants observed in everyday natural surroundings, rendered with an energy that sits somewhere between illustration and fine art.

Two of the designs, Mother Hen and Portrait of a Flower: Anemone, are printed on Airlas paper and finished with copper foil and clear resin relief. The tactile surface catches light differently depending on the viewing angle, adding a dimension not present in the source artwork. The other two, Blue Bird and Yellow Bird, are letterpress-printed in three passes on 100% cotton paper. The pressure of the press leaves a visible deboss in the cotton fibers, giving each print a texture that changes the way color reads on the surface.

Each design is capped at 300 prints, with Kouno's signature and an edition number on every piece. A certificate of authenticity is included.
