The Limited AL sits within OLFA's Limited Series, a line focused on stripping a cutter knife down to a refined, considered form rather than adding features for their own sake. The silver and black color scheme is deliberate: minimal, workmanlike, and designed to look as good on a desk as it does on a workbench.

The included Special Black Blade is what separates this from a standard OLFA cutter. OLFA grinds it at a sharper angle than their regular blades, which produces a finer, cleaner cut. To compensate for the fragility that typically comes with an acute grind, the blade receives a second-stage grind that reinforces the edge and makes it significantly more resistant to chipping. The auto-lock mechanism holds the blade position firmly with a single touch, so the blade stays exactly where you set it during a cut.
