Behind the Design

BGM's Life series was built around the idea that decorative tape shouldn't require a theme or occasion to use. The patterns are kept foundational: repeating circles, small animals mid-motion, botanical night blooms. Each one is meant to work alongside other tapes and papers rather than compete with them.

The foil stamping adds a reflective layer to the washi base without making the tape feel precious or hard to use. At 5mm, the tape is narrow enough to function as a line element, a border, or a subtle accent strip in a spread that already has a lot going on. The three designs in this release were selected to cover different visual registers: graphic, illustrative, and botanical.
