Behind the Design

The concept is simple: draw an animal with its mouth open wide, and let the writer fill in the speech. The large open mouth acts as a natural writing area, so whatever message you leave reads as though the animal is announcing it.

Gakken Sta:Ful released this set in three character variants, Rabbit, Panda, and Black Cat, each with a distinct personality in the illustration. The trio format means you get a small rotation of characters in one package, which works for tagging notebooks, leaving notes for housemates, or tucking a message into a gift.
