The Kodawari Fude-ire ("fude-ire" being the Japanese term for pencil case, "kodawari" meaning obsessive attention to a specific detail) was designed with a single classroom reality in mind: kids toss their bags, drop their backpacks, and zip through crowded hallways. Sonic's answer was the Al-Lock mechanism, a latch system that resists accidental opening from sudden force while still being easy for a child to open intentionally. The body material combination of ABS, PE, and PU keeps the weight down to roughly 160g, which Sonic positions as among the lightest in its category.
