Behind the Design

The Kirafuwa Sugar series from BGM takes its name from a Japanese portmanteau evoking a soft, glittery, candy-like quality. The tape surface is designed to mimic the look and feel of sugar candy, giving it a subtle shimmer and a slightly textured appearance that ordinary washi tape doesn't have.

The Check pattern in this release uses a classic grid motif rendered in soft pastel tones, keeping the design understated enough to layer with other elements without overpowering a page. The 20mm width is wide enough to use as a border or accent strip while still fitting neatly alongside standard journaling layouts.

A washi masking tape with a texture inspired by sugar candy, giving it a soft, slightly sparkly finish that sets it apart from standard flat-surface tapes. The Check pattern comes in two muted, pastel colorways that work well for journaling and paper crafts.
