The Jibun Techo DAYs format was developed by advertising agency creative director Sakuma as a response to the limitations of conventional weekly planners. Most weekly layouts force all types of tasks into a single column, making it difficult to separate appointments from to-dos or work entries from personal ones.

The DAYs solution is a center-axis layout: the 24-hour time axis runs vertically down the middle of each daily page, with dedicated zones on either side for different categories of information. This lets users log meetings and commitments alongside personal tasks without the two streams bleeding together.

The A5 Slim form factor keeps the page count and writing area generous while staying narrower than a standard A5, so the book sits more naturally alongside a laptop or document stack. The transparent matte PVC cover protects the pages without obscuring the cover color underneath, and the integrated pen holder means the planner stays usable without hunting for a pen.
