The Jibun Techo (literally "my own planner") was created by Sakuma Norio, a creative director at an advertising agency, who wanted a planner that matched how he actually thought about time: not just day-to-day, but across a lifetime. The result is a three-section structure that keeps yearly planning, long-horizon life records, and free memo space physically separate inside one slim volume.

The A5 Slim format is narrow enough to carry alongside other notebooks without bulk, while still offering enough column width for vertical weekly spreads. KOKUYO developed their THIN PAPER specifically for this series: it is light enough to keep the book compact across a full year of pages, yet dense enough that fountain pen ink, gel ink, and even erasable ballpoint corrections do not cause the warping or ghosting that thinner papers usually bring. The clear matte PVC cover keeps the interior visible while protecting it, and the integrated pen loop means the planner stays self-contained.
