Behind the Design

The IPPAI series takes its name from the Japanese word for "full" or "packed full," which is exactly the design brief: each product in the series is loaded edge-to-edge with motifs from a single theme. The line built its following through foil-stamped flake stickers, where the dense, shimmery layouts became a signature look.

This tape edition carries that same approach into washi format. The foil stamping adds a metallic layer to each motif, catching light in a way that plain printed tape does not. The wagashi (Japanese sweets) theme is new to the series entirely, joining the returning animal and cafe designs. Each roll is sold individually, so collectors can pick exactly the themes they want.

BGM's IPPAI series started as foil-stamped flake stickers packed with themed motifs, and now it arrives as washi tape. Each 15mm roll features the same dense, foil-accented designs across six themes, including wagashi (Japanese sweets) making its first appearance in the series.
