The X Design Hyper Series is OLFA's professional-grade lineup for heavy site work, and the Quick Holder was designed to match that standard. The core challenge was making a holster that could be drawn and re-holstered one-handed without fumbling. The solution is a two-step passive system: the knife clicks into a locked position automatically when inserted, and the red release lever is positioned so that wrapping your hand around the handle to grip the knife naturally depresses it. No separate button press, no awkward repositioning.

The belt loop geometry adds another layer of thoughtfulness. A fixed-angle loop forces every wearer into the same posture, but body shape, belt height, and task type all affect what angle makes sense. The 60-degree total range of adjustment (30° each way) covers most users without the mechanism becoming complicated. The elastomer material was chosen so the loop flexes out of the way when crouching rather than digging in.

Two cord attachment holes allow the holder and knife to be tethered for work at height or in environments where a dropped blade is a serious hazard. One hole is also positioned to act as a drain during cleaning, a small detail that reflects how much the design assumes real-site conditions.
