Behind the Design

The Hoshiyomi (Star Reading) series from BGM takes the 12 zodiac constellations as its theme, splitting them across three packs so collectors can chase the signs that matter most to them. Each pack covers three consecutive signs, with the artwork featuring original constellation girl characters alongside traditional star map motifs.

Washi paper was chosen as the base material for its slightly textured, organic feel, which contrasts with the reflective foil stamping layered on top. That combination of matte and metallic is a deliberate design choice: the foil catches light differently depending on the angle, while the washi surface keeps the stickers from feeling overly slick. Released in January 2025, the series is sold as individual packs rather than a full set, letting buyers pick only the zodiac groupings they want.

Forty-five washi paper flake stickers printed with foil stamping, each pack themed around three zodiac constellations. The designs feature constellation girl characters alongside classic astrology motifs, with the foil giving each sticker a subtle shimmer against the matte washi base.
