Standard box cutters solve one problem while creating another: the blade that slices through tape and bands can just as easily slash into the contents underneath. OLFA's 107B addresses this with a hook-shaped blade that works in reverse. Instead of pressing the blade down through a cord, you hook the blade under it and pull, so the cutting edge faces away from the surface below at all times.
