himekuri won the Excellence Award in the Functional Category of the Japan Stationery Awards in 2018 by rethinking what a daily tear-off calendar could be. The core idea: every sheet is treated with repositionable adhesive, so the day's page doesn't stop being useful once it's torn off. Stick it in a notebook, use it as a bookmark, label a jar with the date you opened it, or fold it into a bullet journal spread.

The weekly color-shift system is a quiet but effective design decision. Rather than scanning for a number, you locate today by color first, then confirm the date. It reduces the cognitive load of orienting yourself on a calendar to almost nothing.

The 2027 edition comes in five designs. Tani Kare! is a health-support collaboration with Tanita Corporation, featuring handsome character illustrations alongside a booklet of recipes and seasonal ingredient information. Fuzu is himekuri's first collaboration with illustrator aoyoshi, built around food-animal hybrid characters. classic uses soft colors and repeating patterns for a display-friendly look. memory is a landscape and flower photo calendar by photographer yuki. Cat features cat illustrations that occasionally span two or three sheets for a larger scene.
