ICHIKUDO is a print studio that works closely with paper and its origins. The Green Eyes Calendar starts from a simple observation: the trees grown in managed forests eventually become the paper stock that printers handle every day. That cycle, from living wood to printed page, is the concept holding this calendar together.

Each card is shaped like a pair of eyeglass lenses, a form chosen to represent the act of looking closely at the natural world. The twelve cards move through the year by tracing the forest's seasonal changes, the pale greens of spring growth, the dense canopy of summer, the warm tones of autumn, the stripped-back quiet of winter. Screen foil processing adds a surface quality that shifts with the light, echoing the way forest light itself is rarely constant.

The case dimensions keep the whole set compact at H25 × W146 × D68mm. Every element of the design, material, shape, and finish, ties back to the relationship between the people who tend forests and the people who work with what those forests eventually yield.
