Most cutting mats are rigid, which means they stay at your desk. OLFA's 223BNV folds in half along a seam engineered to sit perfectly flush with the surface, so there is no raised edge for a blade to snag on. Open it and you have a full A3 workspace; fold it and it drops to roughly A4, small enough for a tote or backpack.

The surface uses recycled soft olefin resin over a recycled hard olefin core, a layered structure that lets the blade cut cleanly without punching all the way through. The back is non-slip so the mat stays put on a desk. The printed grid covers 1 cm intervals, 1 mm scale markings along the edges, and angle guides at 30°, 45°, and 60°, with size outlines for five common paper formats. Because the numbers are designed to read correctly after a 180° rotation, left-handed users can flip the mat without losing reference points.
