Behind the Design

Furukawashiko collaborated with two illustrators, Aya Inoue and Shoichiro Tobimatsu, to create this postcard series centered on Western-style desserts. Each design is printed on Western paper and finished with foil stamping, so the highlights on a lemon tart glaze or the bubbles in a cream soda catch light in a way flat printing cannot.

The eight designs span shortcake, Victoria cake, parfait, pudding à la mode, lemon tart, macaron, lemon cream soda, and strawberry parfait. Because the card is standard postcard size, it works mailed, tucked into a gift, or slipped into a small frame.

A postcard series featuring dessert illustrations by artists Aya Inoue and Shoichiro Tobimatsu, with foil accents pressed into each design. At 148×100mm, it fits a standard frame as easily as an envelope, so you can send it or display it.
