Behind the Design

The "Mini Mini Animals" concept is built around a single design gag: you look at a sticker and see a familiar scene, a cup of coffee, a potted plant, a row of pencils, and then you notice a small animal tucked into the corner. It is not the main subject. It is just there.

BGM paired this concept with washi paper and foil stamping, two choices that work together to give the stickers a soft, slightly textured surface while the metallic details pop against it. Washi also holds ink differently than synthetic sticker stock, giving colors a quieter, more matte quality that lets the foil do the visual work.

Forty-five washi paper flake stickers printed with cafe, botanical, stationery, and cooking motifs, each one hiding a tiny animal somewhere in the scene. The foil stamping catches light in a way flat printing simply cannot. Fifteen designs, three of each.
