The ANIMAL BOOKMARKER series puts an embroidered animal face at the top of a slim felt strip, so the character appears to peek out from between the pages when the book is closed. The fur texture on each animal is rendered in fine rayon embroidery, with distinct color and stitch patterns chosen to reflect each breed's coat. The bookmark body is finished with a laser-cut pattern that mimics lacework, giving a delicate visual contrast to the soft felt.

Felt was chosen as the base material because its soft surface does not stress or mark paper pages. The eight designs cover four cat breeds and four dog breeds, each sculpted to capture recognizable breed features rather than a generic animal silhouette.

HISAGO has partnered with the Public Interest Incorporated Association Animal Donation to direct a portion of sales from this product toward certified organizations working on dog and cat protection and animal welfare improvement. The cause is built into the product at the point of purchase.
