The Ar-Lock Slim was designed specifically around a frustration that shows up in nearly every Japanese elementary school classroom: pencil case lids that pop open inside a school bag, scattering erasers, sharpeners, and pencils everywhere.

Sonic's answer was the Ar-Lock mechanism, a double-sided locking system that secures both lids simultaneously with a single easy action. The body is kept at just 29mm thick so it slips into the narrow gaps in a school bag without taking up more room than necessary. Stitching is reinforced for the kind of daily handling a child's bag sees over months and years.

Blue and Light Blue were added to the lineup after the original colorways proved popular, giving more options while keeping the same structure underneath.
