The Midori Pocket Diary series takes a different approach to the yearly planner: each edition is built around an illustrator's world rather than a productivity system. For 2027, Midori collaborated with Natsumi Teraoka, known for painting animals and everyday scenes with vivid color and warmth.

What makes this edition unusual is the hand-lettered ruling. Even the date numbers and grid lines are drawn by hand, so no two lines are perfectly identical. The slight irregularity in stroke weight gives the pages a quality that printed text cannot replicate.

The illustration program is also structured intentionally. Monthly and weekly spreads within the same month share a visual thread, so the pages across a month read like scenes from the same story rather than independent decorations. The B6 weekly format allows the fullest version of this, while the Slim and Mini monthly formats offer a more compact take on the same concept.br>
