Behind the Design

Tomoe River paper was developed by Tomoegawa as an ultra-thin paper that resists ink bleed-through far better than its weight suggests. At roughly 52 gsm, it lets a refill pack stay slim while still holding 30 sheets. Raymay Fujii built this DR274 refill around that paper specifically because Bible-size planners live inside bags and pockets where bulk accumulates fast.

The cream tone is a deliberate choice over bright white. Lower contrast between ink and paper reduces eye strain during long planning sessions, particularly under artificial lighting. The undated format removes the friction of starting mid-year or skipping a month, so the refill works whenever you slot it into your binder.
