MIDORI's Country Time wall calendar series has long paired functional date grids with seasonal botanical illustration. For the 2027 edition, the die-cut silhouette was redesigned from its previous form into a full wreath shape, so the calendar reads as a decorative ring of flowers on the wall rather than a rectangular sheet with a decorative border.

The illustrations are by Takiko Kuroiwa, who works in watercolor. Each month brings a different botanical arrangement: mimosa and lemon-yellow peonies in January, jasmine in July, purple scabiosa with raspberry leaves in October, and mistletoe with cotton flowers in December. Care was taken during layout to keep illustration density and color from bleeding into the writing area of the grid, so the calendar functions as well as it decorates.
