Behind the Design

The Comikeshi (コミけし) was designed with manga artists in mind, addressing the specific demands of drafting comics: erasing pencil lines cleanly without tearing or roughing up the paper surface, and being able to work in both tight detail areas and open fields without switching tools.

SEED developed a special compound formula that requires less pressure to erase, reducing the friction that can cause paper to pill or warp. The block's rounded profile sits comfortably in the hand during long drawing sessions, while the geometry of the eraser itself does the work: corners for linework and small hatched areas, the broad flat face for clearing large sketch zones. The EP-CK3 version maintains the same compound and shape in a slightly slimmer, lighter body.

A manga and comic-specific eraser shaped to handle both fine detail work and broad strokes in one block. The rounded body is easy to grip, the corners hit tight spots, and the flat face clears wide areas. A special compound lets it erase with less force, so paper stays intact through heavy drafting sessions.
