Behind the Design

BGM's Stained Glass clear tape series plays with the optical properties of printed PET film. Because the tape is transparent, the ink behaves differently depending on what surface sits beneath it. Over colored or opaque paper, the pigments read as saturated, jewel-toned panels reminiscent of cathedral glass. Over a clear or light surface, the same tape becomes delicate and translucent, almost like a window film.

The Second Edition continues the concept with two new designs: Kaleidoscope, which layers geometric color segments in a repeating radial pattern, and Castle Forest, which brings an illustrated, narrative quality to the stained glass format. Both designs work on their own as decorative tape or as overlays combined with other elements in journaling and paper craft.

A clear PET tape printed with stained glass patterns that shift in appearance depending on what's underneath. Layered over white paper, the colors pop with opacity; over a transparent surface, the design turns translucent and glassy. Two designs available in this second edition run.
