Behind the Design

BGM's Life series is designed around the idea of tape you can reach for any day, without needing a reason. Where many decorative tapes are tied to a season, a holiday, or a specific aesthetic trend, the Life series keeps things open. The panda and rabbit motifs in this edition sit in that space: recognizable and friendly without leaning into any particular theme.

The foil stamping is the detail that lifts these from basic functional tape. Printed onto a PET (polyester) clear base rather than washi, the tape stays transparent where there's no ink or foil, which means the stamped elements appear to float on the page. The 20mm width gives enough room for the illustrations to read clearly without overwhelming a journal spread or envelope flap.
