Behind the Design

The Cabaco series from KOKUYO was designed around a recurring desk problem: pen cases that swallow everything into one undivided cavity, making it slow to find anything without digging. The Half Pocket model addresses this with three dividers of varying widths, so pens, scissors, and rulers each have a dedicated slot visible the moment you open the lid.

The front panel, rather than simply flopping open, is angled and stiff enough to prop a smartphone or timer against it. That detail reflects the series' intent to serve as an active desk tool rather than passive storage. The self-standing form keeps the footprint compact, and the carry handle means it moves between locations without needing a bag.
