The Beitachi Plus was designed around a specific frustration with standard scrapers: fixed-angle tools struggle in corners, along walls, and in any situation where the work surface isn't conveniently flat and open. OLFA's answer was a pivoting head with 11 locking positions, giving the user control over the blade angle rather than forcing an awkward grip.

The head reversal system adds a second function without requiring a second tool. Mounted forward, the blade acts as a scraper for lifting paint, adhesive, or film. Flipped backward, it becomes a cutting knife for leather skiving and fabric work. Switching between modes means loosening the head-fixing screw, rotating the head, and re-tightening. The screw-lock design was chosen specifically to eliminate wobble during work, a common complaint with spring or friction-based locking systems.

The glass fiber reinforced nylon grip is built for repeated-use tasks like leather crafting, and the rear cord attachment hole reflects a practical concern: this is the kind of tool used at height or in tight spaces where dropping it is a real risk.
