Behind the Design

Rumi Kawagoe graduated from Tama Art University's Department of Painting and has built a body of work centered on animals and children set against forests and rural landscapes. Her themes circle around the coexistence of all living things, and she exhibits regularly through solo and group shows.

The Art Touch project is TOUCH & FLOW's ongoing effort to bring original art into everyday moments. These Christmas postcards carry Kawagoe's characteristic warmth: bears and rabbits mid-errand, arms full of presents, rendered in the soft, layered texture that oil pastels and acrylic paint produce together. Two designs are available, one set against a snowy mountain scene and one framed by a holiday wreath.

A Christmas postcard born from a collaboration between TOUCH & FLOW and illustrator Rumi Kawagoe, whose original artwork uses oil pastels and acrylic paint to bring bears and rabbits carrying gifts to life. The images carry that slightly nostalgic feeling of wandering into a storybook world, warm and unhurried.
