The CWP (Creative Works Print) series brings together TOUCH & FLOW's specialty printing craft and original artwork by Japanese painters. For this collaboration, Kazuko Furuta contributed paintings drawn from her life in Yamagata, where she has been based since studying at Tohoku University of Art and Design. Her subject matter centers on the relationships between animals, plants, and the land they inhabit.

One of the four designs, "Veranda no Koibitotachi (Lovers on the Veranda)," came from a childhood memory: a pair of pigeons raising chicks on the family balcony. That small, vivid scene became the basis for the artwork. A designer then reworked each painting for the bookmarker format, and craftsmen applied copper or gold foil alongside clear varnish to raise the surface, giving each piece a dimension the original paper could not hold.

Furuta has received the 5th Setagaya Art Award "Hisho" and has contributed artwork for musician Sakura Fujiwara, among other projects. Her work for the CWP series reflects the same approach: Japanese painting technique anchoring an entirely personal vision.
