Exlibris, or bookplates, originated in 15th-century Europe as a way for wealthy owners to mark their books. A small printed label, typically bearing a name or personal emblem, was pasted to the inside cover to identify ownership. Because books were luxury objects, these labels often became miniature works of art in their own right.

This collaboration between TOUCH & FLOW and Japanese painter Kanae Kouno revives the form with her signature style: saturated color and motifs that feel animated, almost breathing. Gold foil printing is layered over the illustrated surface to give each bookplate a material richness that photographs barely capture. The back is a pressure-sensitive sticker rather than a paste label, updating the format for modern use while keeping the visual language of the original tradition intact.
