Behind the Design

Jun Sasaki was born in Tokyo in 1986 and graduated from Yamawaki Art and Design College's Visual Design department. Since 2007, he has held solo and group exhibitions, building a following around his ink-and-pen illustration style: line-driven, unhurried, and warm without being sentimental.

TOUCH & FLOW worked with Sasaki to translate that quality into postcard form. The subjects, a keel-billed toucan, a panda, a penguin, and a handful of drinks, are modest in scale but carry the kind of quiet personality that makes them feel like small gifts in themselves. The handwritten text woven into each illustration adds a further personal note, as if the card arrived already written by someone who meant it.

A collaboration between TOUCH & FLOW and Tokyo-based illustrator Jun Sasaki, these postcards feature ink-and-pen drawings of animals and everyday pleasures. Standard postcard size means they can be mailed directly or slipped into an envelope as a gift enclosure.
